Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. When she was a child, Paula Patton was raised in an Los Angeles middle-class household. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that she learned from her mother, who was also a fan of movies. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and especially captivated by the dramatic arts. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actor decided that acting was her preferred career. She attended the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. The program offered her a three-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. She started as production assistant for television documentaries after successfully completing her assignment. In the following years, she transitioned to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed her career, she still dreamed of being an actor. She began her journey into acting by playing Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a number of popular films and television shows.
