She is born to Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). Her mother works as an agent, and her father is an civil engineer. Walker received her schooling through Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, graduating in 1994. She then attended Harvard College, where she received a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker as well as John Hughes, a famous marketing director for Merck Philadelphia who has two kids together. In 2014 they began having an affair with one other. John her husband is an age difference of four years compared to her.
